I’m Joanne Balasas and I’m your experienced personal travel manager with over 31 years in the travel industry. I started working as a travel agent in 1994 and have since worked with many agencies before coming a mobile agent with itravel.

I live in Kogarah/Monterey area for the last 27 years with husband John and my 2 daughters Rosie and Georgia.

I am of Greek/Cypriot background and have travelled numerous times to Greece, the various Greek Islands and Cyprus. My travels have also taken me to various countries including: Italy, the United Arab Emirates, London, Malta, Marseille in France, Valencia in Spain , New Zealand , Fiji, Vanuatu, Malaysia, Singapore, Maldives, USA, Bahamas & Cancun, Hawaii, Phuket in Thailand, Queensland and various Australian islands.

My favourite destination by far would be Cyprus and the Greek Islands – actually the whole Mediterranean captivates me!

I specialise in selling the Mediterranean and Europe and I love Hawaii and the USA. Travel is my passion.

I have won many awards for sales, top achiever consultant for example, the Los Angeles Halloween famil for top sellers with Qantas, the Abu Dhabi top seller with Virgin Airlines and many more.

I take pride in customer service and make all my clients feel special and important. Selling travel is easy because I love to travel and I love to sell dreams, to make people smile and remember their experience they just created for themselves.

What do I like about being an itravel mobile agent? I love the flexibility of being an itravel mobile consultant and with that being able to do my work when and how it suits me and my clients without being on clock to start and finish normal office hours. I’m also very happy to meet my clients when and where it suits them as I know that customer service is very important!

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have been offered and have declined the option to purchase travel insurance for my upcoming trip. I understand that by waiving travel insurance, I am fully responsible for any financial losses or expenses that may arise as a result of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:

1. Trip Cancellation or Interruption:
  • Due to personal or family emergencies, illness, or other unforeseen events.
2. Medical Expenses:
  • Costs incurred due to illness or injury while travelling.
3. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Baggage and Personal Effects:
  • Expenses related to the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
4. Travel Delays:
  • Additional costs incurred due to flight delays or cancellations.
5. Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation:
  • Costs associated with emergency medical evacuation and repatriation.

I understand that travel insurance provides valuable protection and that I am solely responsible for any and all expenses that may arise from my decision to decline coverage. I hereby release and hold harmless itravel Australia, its agents, and employees from any liability related to my decision to waive travel insurance.
